Friends of the Cemetery
We are a group of volunteers – age no barrier – who are maintaining/repairing graves at the Bundaberg General Cemetery. Some volunteers are providing the labouring work whilst we also have experienced researchers. Each grave that is selected must have research provided to council to find a relative – direct descendant to four generations. We generally meet on some Saturdays and Tuesdays for working bees. (flexible depending on volunteer available and project.) Each six months a calendar of dates is sent to volunteers. The work has simple and complex aspects but all members can be accommodated. We are not an incorporated group but work within the confines of the Bundaberg Regional Council. All volunteers are most welcome and are required to undertake a standard induction at the Cemetery office. All enquiries to Brenda & Alan Cochrane.
