Acquired Brain Injury Outreach Service - STEPS Program
STEPS - ABIOS offers a six-week group program for adults with Acquired Brain Injury, or Stroke and their families and friends. The program aims to improve community participation, using a self-management approach.

Centacare - Bundaberg Community Care Service- HACC
This program is funded by Home and Community Care Program. HACC provides support to assist frail elderly and younger people with disabilities and their carers. The services provided depend on the needs of the client or carer ranging from assistance with daily living, general household tasks, transport, in home respite, personal care, social support, allied health including counselling, social work and client education and other tasks in response to individual needs. Eligibility: Persons in the target group at risk of premature or inappropriate placement in institutional care – screened using the HACC ONI Tool.

Childers Meals on Wheels
Meals cooked at the Childers hospital and delivered by Meals on Wheels volunteers, Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays. Meals collected from the hospital around 11.30am and then delivered. Endeavour Industries:- Provide occupation for people with intellectual disability. The Service provides for people who have some productive skills, but such skills that would be insufficient for them to gain open employment. The Meals on Wheels service provides a nutritious meal delivered by volunteers to the person's home. Gracie Dixon Respite Centre
Provides day respite so as to maintain the quality of life for the frail, aged, younger people with a disability and their carers. Guide Dogs Queensland is the State’s leading provider of Rehabilitation and Guide Dog services. Our services are provided throughout the State, free of charge, to blind and vision impaired Queenslanders. Those services include: Orientation and Mobility training using long canes and other electronic travel aids. Breeding and training of Guide Dogs, for placement with clients. Mainstay Respite Care
Short-term respite accommodation for persons with a disability aged from birth to 64 years based on individual needs. Queensland Aged and Disability Advocacy Inc (QADA)
QADA provides advocacy (someone who stands beside a client), and works on their behalf in their best interests and at their direction ) to support them to be heard by providing accurate information, support and/or presentation regarding access to and provision of services in residential care facilities (nursing homes/hostels) – aged care community packages including community aged care packages (CACPS), extended aged care at home (EACH) packages ; and home and community care (HACC) services. QADA also has a legal advocacy service that assists adults whose decision making capacity is being questioned, with administration and guardianship matters including potentially or going through the Guardianship and Administration Tribunal (GAAT).

Queensland Narrating Service
Queensland Narrating Service is a not-for-profit organisation based in Brisbane, Australia. It is membership-based and has around 50 active members. Members are volunteer narrators who read and record books onto computer or cassette. These audio books are for people who have print disabilities. People who use QNS audio books mostly borrow them from libraries throughout Australia and particularly Queensland. Many students use this service. All enquiries are welcome. We welcome interest from prospective narrators and office volunteers.

YMCA Disability Service
Community access and lifestyle support for people with a disability. Encompasses short and long term support provided on a flexible and individual basis. Y-ball programs on Tuesday morning 8.30-9.30 for anybody with a disability in the Bundaberg community that would like to be a part of team sports. Art and craft program on Thursday 1-3 for anybody in the Bundaberg community with a disability that would like to have the opportunity to be creative in a fun, safe and friendly environment. Healthy Lifeskills and cooking program on Fridays 11-1:30 for anybody in the Bundaberg community with a disability who would like to have the opportunity to develop and maintain independent living skills. Places are limited so you need to register your interest in this activity.
