Burnett Catchment Care Association
To coordinate and instigate community awareness and effort to maintain ecologically and economically sustainable river systems in the Burnett - a coordinated approach to the management of land, water, vegetation and biodiversity. There are four sub catchment groups – BCCA North, BCCA Central, BCCA East and BCCA South.

Burnett Mary Regional Group
Burnett Mary Regional Group (BMRG) is one of fifteen non-government, community based Natural Resource Management (NRM) groups in Queensland. The Regional Groups were formed to support the delivery of the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality (NAP) and the Natural Heritage Trust (the Trust). The BMRG will build regional partnerships to progress sustainable NRM initiatives to ensure the social and economic growth of our region over the long term. These initiatives will bring together government, industry and community to address problems such as salinity, water quality, biodiversity and coastal and marine management in the Burnett Mary Region. Our region includes all of the catchments from the Baffle Creek to the Mary River, shires from the Continental Divide (eg Chinchilla) to the coast, Fraser Island World Heritage Area and the Great Sandy Straits RAMSAR area. The organisation also has a large resource library available for the use of our members with information related to natural resource management – including biodiversity, salinity, land use management, water quality and pest management/weeds.

Woongarra Coast Monitoring and Education Project
The project's two main objectives are to provide ongoing monitoring of the Woongarra Coast within the Great Sandy Marine Park and increase community stewardship for this unique resource. The project group also liaise with research, government and non-government organisations to assist in the planning and sustainable management of the marine and coastal environment near Bundaberg, Queensland.
Operating Times: The office is manned part-time with activities primarily on weekends.
