Bundaberg Homeless Men's Hostel
o Funded through SAAP, the Hostel provides accommodation, support and assistance to homeless men, or those at risk of becoming homeless. (Over 18yrs) o There are 4 shared (4 bed) rooms that new residents are admitted to in the first instance. o If a resident is willing to commit to an enhanced support program, and are abiding by the Conditions of Stay, then they can be offered a single room. There are 16 single rooms. o $18 per-night for shared rooms. $21 per-night for single rooms. The rate includes 3 meals a day. o Residents are able to claim rent assistance from Centrelink. o Length of stay at the Hostel is for 3 months. o There is a curfew each night at 9.30pm o Residents are expected to: o Enter into a case management planning agreement. o Be engaged in seeking further accommodation options outside of the Hostel. o Be engaged in meeting their Centrelink obligations. o Pay an Accommodation Assistance Contribution during their stay. o Maintain the Conditions of Stay which they must agree to upon admission. o Maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all times. o Alcohol and Drugs must not be brought onto the premises. o Residents must not return to the Hostel under the influence of Alcohol or Drugs. o There is zero tolerance of Violence or Discrimination of any kind. o All residents must be able to maintain their own personal care needs. o **There are no medical services or equipment at the Hostel, however visiting Ozcare Nurses are available for minor consultations**
Operating Times: The service operates 24hrs a day seven days a week. However admission time is from 4pm to 8pm each day.
