Aglow Australia - Bundaberg
Aglow is an interdenominational women's organization found in 170 nations of the world. Our aim is to reach out to women and give them the love, support, encouragement and care that is such a part of the nature of our Lord Jesus Christ. We offer opportunity to become involved in outreaches in the community, to grow in leadership and to be available to care for women as we are called upon. We are basically known as a network of caring women.

Breastscreen Queensland Wide Bay Service
The service provides a high quality, complete breast cancer screening and assessment service free of charge for women over 40 years of age including information about breast cancer and breast screening; free breast cancer screening; follow up of abnormalities found on the breastscreen; counselling; referral treatment if breast cancer is detected and an invitation for rescreening every two years. A doctor's referral is not necessary. Women aged 50-69 are especially encouraged to attend every two years as the biggest risk factor for breast cancer is age with 70% of all breast cancer diagnosed in women over the age of 50. Parking is available and this service is located next door to the Red Cross Blood Service, access via Queens Park Road. TTY and interpreter services are available for women with special needs. A satellite service is available at Hervey Bay and rural areas are serviced every two years by the Breastscreen Queensland Wide Bay Service mobile Service.

Bundaberg & District Ex Servicewomen’s Association Inc.
We offer comradeship to women who have served in the Australian Defence Force or the Forces of the Commonwealth or Allied countries. We have meetings, outings, luncheons and host reunions. We also attend reunions in other Centres. We attend commemorative and remembrance activities as a group. In 2003 our Association proudly unveiled and dedicated a memorial to all Australian Service Women; this memorial is located in Lions Remembrance Park, Takalvan Street, Bundaberg.

Operating Times: Meetings are generally held at 2.00 pm on the third Monday of each month from January to October however there are exceptions when meetings are combined with another activity and persons wishing to attend should phone to confirm the details. Any visiting ex servicewomen, Australian or Allied, is welcome to attend our meetings. New members are also welcome at a meeting, without obligation. We hold our Annual lunch in November, our AGM in March and sometimes host a Reunion in July.

Bundaberg Business Women’s Network
Our mission statement is: To provide a supportive, informative environment for business women of all ages where networking and mentoring activities are encouraged. The aim of the BBWN is to bring business women together on a regular basis to share ideas and experiences that will improve members business skills. The BBWN is relaxed and informal, however we do encourage input and participation. Meeting are held twice a month in various locations. The first Tuesday of the month is a breakfast meeting and the third Wednesday of the month we rotate between a dinner, network & nibbles or a members business showcase. Our members are kept informed about events by the secretary, the website and a newsletter distributed four times a year.

Bundaberg Mature Women Inc (BMW)
BMW promotes and encourages a healthy and contented lifestyle; provides a circle of friendship and support to all mature women and newcomers to the region; encourages open communication with other like-minded groups in the area; arranges for guest speakers to provide information and education on a wide variety of topics of interest; arranges social outings or bus trips on a monthly basis.

EDON Place Women's Domestic Violence Service Inc
EDON Place Women's Domestic Violence Service provides crisis accommodation and support to women and children escaping/living with domestic violence as well as referrals to other agencies. Assistance with Domestic Violence Protection Order applications and Court support is provided as well as a rural outreach program. Two 12 week personal development groups are run each year, each in two 6 week blocks. EDON Place Women's Domestic Violence Service is a crisis service and does not provide long term counselling. A small amount of Emergency Relief money is also available. Appointments are essential and only available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 9.00 and 12.00

EDON Place Women's Domestic Violence Service Inc - Child Support
The Bundaberg & District Women's Domestic Violence Service Child Support Worker provides support and assistance to the children of women escaping/living with domestic violence. The Child Support Worker provides assessment and evaluation regarding child wellbeing as well as referrals to other appropriate agencies. The Child Support Worker advocates for the child/ren and provides support liaising with schools, other agencies and the Department of Child Safety. Parenting support is also available. The Bundaberg & District Women's Domestic Violence Service is a crisis service and does not provide long term counselling. Communications between the Child Support Worker and the child/ren are confidential. Phoenix House Association Inc
Phoenix House offers a comprehensive, integrated service which: Provides a safe, supportive, women-centered programme for adult women who have been sexually assaulted, either recently or in the past; Provides a child centered and family focused programme for children and young people who have been sexually and/or physically abused, and support for non-offending family members and carers. Phoenix House provides an outreach Programme for adult males who have been sexually abused, or who want to address abusive behaviours; Provides a comprehensive primary, secondary and tertiary sexual violence prevention programme; Is the site for the first 'Stop It Now' project in Australia.

Womens Legal Advice
Women's Legal Service is pleased to announce the start of a new phone line dedicated specifically for women in rural, regional and remote (RRR) areas of Queensland. This line will provide legal assistance in the areas of family law and domestic violence. This service id free and confidential.
