Adopt-A-Cop
Programme that permits police officers to volunteer to work at local primary schools to foster better relationships between students and Police Service. Aim to reduce crime through education, improve attitudes of students to community, police and the law, and demonstrate values, responsibilities and obligations current society deems valuable.

Bargara 3 – Innes Park Neighbourhood Watch
NHW encourages people to participate with police in the prevention of crime to ensure safe and secure neighbourhoods. To bring the community together, Innes Park NHW holds Concerts by Bundaberg Municipal Band in the Innes Park Reserve – Mothers Day 9th May 2:30pm-4:30pm (BBQ from 12 noon & afternoon tea) and Carols by the Sea, 28th November 2010. Everybody is welcome.

Neighbourhood Watch is a programme organised by the community in order to reduce residential crime. Householders are encouraged to join together in small informal groups for the purpose of improving the safety of their families and other neighbourhood residents. Queensland Fire & Rescue Service - Rural Operations
QFRS Rural Operations provides fire management for rural and semi-rural communities across approximately 93% of the State. Services include fire mitigation, prescribed burning, volunteer training, community awareness and education. Pre-fire management is administered by the volunteer Fire Warden network through the Permit to Light Fire system, whilst actual fire management is provided by volunteer Rural Fire Brigades. QFRS Rural Operations is the lead agency for rural fire management in Queensland. Public safety is of paramount importance - the protection of life and property through: •reducing the risk of wildfire; •managing the use of fire for hazard reduction or land management purposes; and •managing any unwanted fire. Support to Rural Fire Brigades and volunteer Fire Wardens is provided through: •legal protection against claims for damages; •volunteer training; •workers compensation coverage; •free personal protective equipment for firefighting; and •subsidised fire fighting appliances and equipment; and other support and management services as required.

Queensland Police Service – School Based Police Officer Program
School Based Policing is a proactive policing role and a integral part of the school student service team to promote and develop positive relationships within the school community, to contribute to student understanding of the law through class room presentations or one on one meetings on various topics including driver education, to support young persons experiencing personal difficulties and to attend, where appropriate, to police related matters within the school community.

Safety Houses
The Safety House Programme is a community-based and-funded programme with a network of easily identifiable houses and businesses for use by children whenever they feel unsafe whilst in the community. A Safety House can be a house, a shop or a business. The programme also aims to play a proactive role in community safety, by providing safer neighbourhoods for our children and personal safety education programmes within participating schools.
